Angels: A finely crafted thriller

Certain films will glue the audience in the theater seats throughout the running time, and it will not make the viewer bored for even a second. ‘Angels’ is one such film which will make you thrilled and chilled during your moments in the movie hall. The movie directed by Jean Markose hit the screens on November 28th 2014, and it is receiving highly positive reviews from all corners. The movie which is touted to be a social thriller has hit the Bulls Eye in Style, and in all probabilities, it will emerge as a decent grosser in the Mollywood Box Office. Now, let us analyze the movie in detail.

The movie showcases the story of Hameem Haider, a brilliant Police Officer with an egoistic mindset. He is now in charge of investigating a very controversial case. But due to various reasons, he gets thrown out from the team, and this shatters Hameem from the core. At this juncture, he decides to open up the details of the case in a crime investigative program, and this forms the basic crux of the movie.

The movie is a perfectly crafted thriller, and it has umpteen numbers of fine moments in it. Indrajith Sukumaran who enacted the role of Hameem Haider was excellent, and he was given ample support by Asha Sharath. But it was Joy Mathew who stole the show, and his portrayal of Father Vargehese Punyalan garnered huge applauses from the theater.

Angels’ is a genuine effort by Jean markose, and it should be respected in the most elegant manner. Thriller movies always have demand in Kerala, and let’s hope this movie will also emerge as a huge hit in the Box Office.
