Mia George to act as Suresh Gopi’s heroine

Suresh Gopi, the third reigning Super Star in Malayalam Film Industry is now in the path of a comeback, and he has already shows some glimpses of his class in ‘Apothecary’. The trailer of the upcoming release, ‘Dolphins’ is also widely acclaimed by audiences, and this Anoop Menon scripted movie is also expected to rock the Box Office in spanking passion. The recent news about the actor is regarding a new movie in which he will play the lead role along with Mia George in the heroine’s character. 

The movie will portray a heart touching story from the view point of Sam Thottungal, a 15 year old guy. In the film, Suresh Gopi plays the character of Aadiraja Bhattathiri, the CEO of an IT Company. The movie will also feature Vineeth Sreenivasan in another prominent role, and if reports are true, then he will do the character of Sam’s brother.

The movie is directed by M Mohan, who has earlier made movies like, ‘Katha Parayumbol’, ‘Maanikyakallu’ etc. The film is titled, ‘My God’

, and the shooting will kick start soon.  

'Vellimoonga' creating new waves in Box Office

'Vellimoonga' directed by ace cameraman Jibu Jacob is literally creating new waves in the Mollywood Box Office. The film is getting huge collections from the theaters, and if reports are true, then the total gross as of now is more than eight crores. This whooping figure has been collected in a span of less than 3 weeks, and the number is inclusive of satellite rights. 

Success of 'Vellimoonga' was quite unexpected as there were no Super Stars involved in the movie. In the initial pre production days, many producers and heroines said a big blatant NO to this movie, and finally Ullattil Sasidharan and Nikki Galrani accepted the roles of producer and heroine respectively.

Anoop Menon to tie the knot

The wait is over and it has been reported that the intellectual star in Malayalam Film Industry Anoop Menon is going to tie the knot soon. The fiancee of Anoop is Shema Alexander, and both of them were friends for the last five years. If everything goes well, the wedding will take place in this December. Anoop Menon is the son of Gangadharan Nair and Indira Menon, and their family hails from Kozhikkode. Shema's family is from Kollam, and she is the daughter of Prince Alexander and late Lilly Alexander. 

Umpteen numbers of gossips were on air regarding Anoop Menon's wedding, and several sources claimed that he will marry Bhavana, the mesmerizing lady in Mollywood. But with the arrival of Shema Alexander, it has been confirmed that Anoop will marry a non film personality.

‘Narasimham’ is back

Poovalli Induchoodan is undoubtedly the most fire spitting characters which Malayalam Film Industry has ever witnessed. Narasimham is one of the biggest hits in the career of Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas. The film portrayed the story of Induchoodan, an ex convict who was falsely accused of murder. Thilakan and N F Vargheese played pivotal roles in the movie, and Mega Star Mammootty played a memorable cameo. ‘Nee Po Mone dinesha’, the punch dialogue used in this movie is now a popular catchphrase, and it has been used widely all over the state. 

Dream Combo is back again

Suresh Gopi – Shaji Kailas team was once the most bankable stars in the industry, and they have delivered umpteen numbers of hit films which includes, Commissioner, Ekalavyan, F I R etc. Their last outing was ‘The King and The Commissioner’, and unfortunately it was a Box Office dud. Both Shaji and Suresh are longing for a solo hit for the past 5 or six years, and they are now joining hands again to put an end to their losing streak. 

The new movie will be an in and out suspense thriller, and it will be scripted by writer director B Unnykrishnan. The script of the movie is already completed, and more details regarding the cast and crew will soon be revealed.

Dulquer-Mani Ratnam movie titled ‘O K Kanmani’

If reports are true, then the title of the new Dulquer Salman – Mani Ratnam movie is finalized as ‘O K Kanmani’. The movie will be another epic love story just like ‘Alaipayuthey’ which hit the theaters on 2000. ‘O K Kanmani’ will have Dulquer and Nithya Menon in the lead role, and supporting characters will be played by Prakash Raj and Kaniha. 

The shooting of the movie is going on in steady pace, and if everything goes well, this film will hit the screens on early 2015. More details regarding the cast and crew of the film are yet to get finalized. 

The movie is blessed with some big names in the industry. The music department will be handled by A R Rahman, and the cinematography will be done by P C Sreeram. P C Sreeram is joining hands with mani Ratnam after a gap of 14 years. ‘Itihasa’ may speak Tamil

Rachana Narayanankutty to share screen space with Dileep

Rachana Narayanankutty is one among the popular stars in Malayalam Entertainment Industry even though she hasn’t played much bigger roles in movies. The recent news about the actress is highly encouraging in nature, and it has been confirmed that she will be playing the role of the lady lead in the Dileep starrer ‘Life of Josutty’. The movie will be directed by none other than Jeethu Joseph who gave us the Blockbuster ‘Drishyam’ last year. The film is produced by Backwater Studios. 

Rachana is highly excited about this news, and she posted in her official Facebook page, “Happily announcing.... blessed to work with such a talented director Jeethu Joseph chettan and versatile actor Dileep ettan.” The role of Rachana in the movie is yet to get revealed. Jyothi Krishna also plays a vital role in this movie. 

The remaining star cast includes, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Joju, Harish Peradi, Chemban Vinod, Dharmajan, Noby, Chembil Asokan, and Vijayakumari. 

Asif Ali to do the lead role in 'Adventures Of Omanakuttan'

Asif Ali, the young sensation in Mollywood is all set to act in a new movie which is titled, 'Adventures Of Omanakuttan'. The movie will be directed by debutant Rohit V S, and as per reports, Asif will do the title character of 'Omanakkuttan'. 

The movie is expected to be a comedy entertainer, and it will have all the elements required to satisfy the needs of a regular moviegoer. Dileep and Jeethu Joseph join hands in ‘Life of Josootty’

Jeethu Joseph and Dileep is joining hands for a new movie after ‘My Boss’, and it is titled, ‘Life of Josootty’. Just like Drishyam, ‘Life of Josootty’ will also portray a story in the backdrop of Idukki. The director will shoot the first schedule of the movie in Idukki, Thodupuzha and kattappana, and the second schedule will be filmed exclusively in New Zealand. 

The movie is expected to be a simple family drama, and it will showcase the life of Jose Kutty, a common man. The events which will be portrayed in the film will be very much ordinary, and it will surely stay close to our lives. The movie is produced by Black Water Studio. More details regarding the cast and crew are yet to get revealed. If everything goes well, the shooting of the film will start by mid December. 

My Boss, the 2012 movie which witnessed the union of Jeethu and Dileep for the first time was a huge hit, and after that the director created the legendary hit, ‘Drishyam’. Jeethu Joseph is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Paapanasham’, the Tamil remake of Drishyam.

‘Swapaanam’ to be screened in Hanoi International Film Festival

‘Swapaanam’, the much acclaimed movie directed by Shaji N Karun has been selected for screening in the reputed Hanoi International Film Festival. This year will mark the 3rd edition of Hanoi Film Festival, and it is scheduled from 23rd November to 27th November 2014 in Hanoi. 

‘Swapaanam’ portrays the story of Unnikrishnan Maran, the unsung chenda artist. Unnikrishnan is blessed with loads of talent, but he remained unnoticed in the course of time. His life, love, lust and passion towards ‘chenda’ form the basic crux of the movie. The movie is blessed with the powerful performance of the lead actor, Jayaram. He has enacted the role of Unnikrishnan with sheer brilliance, and this is undoubtedly the main highlight of the movie. Apart from Jayaram, Siddique, Vineeth, Sarath, Indrans, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Sajitha Madathil, Udayan Namboothiri, P D Namboothiri, Eeswaran Unni, and Margi Sathi also does prominent roles in the movie. 

The movie is scripted by Sajeev Pazhoor and Hari Krishnan. Saji Nair has done the cinematography, and Sreevalsan J Menon has composed the music.

Nitya Menon to pair with Dulquer Salman in Mani Ratnam movie

The shooting of the new Mani Ratnam movie is all set to begin within a few days, and the crew is working hard to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure the proper flow of the first schedule. The movie will have Dulquer Salman in the lead role, and as per reports, Nithya Menon is almost finalized to play the female lead. Earlier, it was speculated that Alia Bhat will be paired opposite Dulquer. 

Nitya Menon and Dulquer Salman has earlier paired in ‘Usthad Hotel’, and the movie was a huge hit. Now, they are acting together in ‘100 Days of Love’ directed by Januse Mohammed, son of ace director Kamal. The shooting of the movie is continuing in a steady pace in and around Bangalore. 

The music of this Mani Ratnam movie will be composed by none other than A R Rahman, and the cinematography will be done by master cameraman, P C Sreeram. The movie will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam. 

James Albert is all set to direct his Debut Movie

James Albert, renowned as the scenarist of Super Hit movie, ‘Classmates’ is all set to make his debut in direction. He is now busy with the pre production works of the directorial venture which is titled, ‘Mariam Mukku’. The movie will have Fahad Fazil in the lead role, and he will do the role of a fisherman for the first time in his career. 

Hima Davis will do the role of female lead in the movie, and the remaining star cast includes, Samudrakkani, Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Sreenivasan, Tini Tom, Irshad, Saddique, Suja Menon, Seema G Nair, Devi Ajith, and Neena Kurup .The film will be scripted by the director himself, and the shooting of the film is expected to start from next month. Thankasseri Sea shore will be the main location for the film.  

The film is produced by Sam Big Movies. The music of ‘Mariam Mukku’ will be composed by Vidyasagar, and Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma, Rafeeq Ahmed, Santhosh Varma, and Fr Sion are lined up for writing the lyrics.
