'Vellimoonga' directed by ace cameraman Jibu Jacob is literally creating new waves in the Mollywood Box Office. The film is getting huge collections from the theaters, and if reports are true, then the total gross as of now is more than eight crores. This whooping figure has been collected in a span of less than 3 weeks, and the number is inclusive of satellite rights.
Success of 'Vellimoonga' was quite unexpected as there were no Super Stars involved in the movie. In the initial pre production days, many producers and heroines said a big blatant NO to this movie, and finally Ullattil Sasidharan and Nikki Galrani accepted the roles of producer and heroine respectively.
Through the success of this film, Biju Menon has now established his spot as a bankable star in the industry. The film is scripted by Joji Thomas, and it is undoubtedly a well crafted political comedy.
