Mia George’s next movie confirmed

Mia George the ravishing young lady in Malayalam Film Industry is now a renowned face in Kollywood too. Her recent release ‘Indu Netru Naalai’ with Vishnu Vishal and Karunakaran in the lead role was well received by critics, and it became a hit in Box Office as well.

The actress is quite keen in balancing her career in both Mollywood and Kollywood, and this is compelling her to do one Malayalam movie after the completion of every Tamil project. Mia George has now been roped to do the lead female role in a movie which is being titled ‘Thottavadi’.

Debutant George Varghese will be directing this female oriented project. More details regarding the hero and other cast will be finalized in the coming days.

Atheesh V S will be producing this movie in the banner of Darshini Concepts. Sejo John is composing the music of this film, while the lyrics are being penned by Rafeeque Ahmed.

'My God' post production works started


Suresh Gopi, the Action King in Malayalam Film Industry is not going through the nicest times of his career. His entry in to politics has fetched him so many haters, and they are literally cursing the star through social media sites. Recently, his movie 'Rudrasimhaasanam' was released, and it was panned by both critics and audiences.

Now, Suresh Gopi is gearing up with a new movie which is being titled 'My God'. This film is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker M Mohanan. As per reports, the post production works of the movie have begun, and the makers are planning to release the movie as soon as possible.

Honey Rose is doing the role of female lead in this movie. The film will revolve around the life of a 15 year old boy, Sam Thottungal. The young boy faces huge tension and pressure due to the heavy expectations created by his parents and this forms the major crux of the movie.

The film is blessed with a huge star cast. The supporting star cast in the movie includes Sreenivasan, Joy Mathew, Devan, indrans, Sreejith Ravi, Praveen Prem, Chali Pala, Kalabhavan Haneef, Abhi Madhav, Master Adarsh, Master Rishi, Lena, Rekha, and baby Akhila.

Sreesanth to make a big budget movie


Former Indian fast bowler S.Sreesanth is reportedly a happy man now. He has been proved innocent in the IPL match fixing row, and the dashing gun is now awaiting the withdrawal of ban by BCCI. In the meantime, he is also making his moves to enter the Malayalam Film Industry.

As per reports, Sreesanth is getting ready with a new big budget movie, and it will be made in three languages. This trilingual movie will be made in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, and it will be dubbed and released in 14 other languages. The shooting of this film is expected to begin by September.

The movie will showcase the life of a cricketer in the backdrop of IPL. Sana Yadi Reddy will direct this untitled movie.

Sreesanth has earlier made his Bollywood debut through the movie 'Cabaret' directed by Pooja BhattSreesanth has done a negative role in this movie, and the film is expected to hit the screens soon.

Suresh Gopi,Jayaram and Bhagyalakshmi to play in a drama written by Padmarajan


National award winner Suresh Gopi,popular actor Jayaram and ace dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi will feature in a drama written by hugely adored late filmmaker and writer P.Padmarajan. The drama Akale Akale Aashwasam penned by Padmarajan in 1968 will be telecast as part of the Radio drama fest of the All India Radio.The drama will be telecast on August 2 .Padmarajan himself gave voice to the protagonist when this drama was originally played.

This time around it will be Jayaram who will give voice to the lead role.Nedumudi Venu will enact the role of the father of the mentally imbalanced protagonist.Suresh Gopi will give voice to the doctor who treats the protagonist,while Bhagyalakshmi will appear as the wife of the doctor.Yadhu Nandan,Nandakumar etc.are also part of the cast.

Jayaram made his debut in films through the Padmarajan movie Aparan,and the duo of Suresh Gopi and Jayaram came together memorably in Padmarajan's noted film Innale.While Bhagyalakshmi gave voice to many characters in Padmarajan movies.

'Amar Akbar Anthony' shooting wrapped up


Nadir Shah, renowned as the mimicry king of Mollywood is making his directorial debut through 'Amar Akbar Anthony', a multi starrer which features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya in the lead role. The shooting of the movie has been going on steadily in Kochin for the past two months.

As per latest updates, the makers have completed the filming of the movie, and they have wrapped up the final schedule. The main location of the filming was Fort Cochin and near by areas. The film is expected to showcase a comic story in the backdrop of colonies in Cochin.

Sujith Vasudev has cranked the camera for the movie. The music of the movie is being composed by Nadir Shah and Deepak DevAlvin Anthony and Dr. Zachariah Thomas under the banner of United Global Media Entertainment and Ananya Films has produced this film.

This is the second multi starrer movie which Indrajith and Prithviraj are acting together in the recent times, the first one being 'Double Barrell' which is all set to hit the screens.

Chief Wildlife Warden turns blind eye to Fahadh’s jumbo act


Actor Fahadh Faasil has gone scot-free after he was seen swinging on the tusks of a captive elephant in a 21-second video violating wildlife protection rules recently.

Though animal rights activists protested after the video appeared on social  networking sites, the Chief Wildlife Warden has  not taken any action against him so far.  

Deccan Chronicle had exposed the dangerous act in a report published on June 3 .Mr V.K. Venkitachalam, secretary, Heritage Animal Task Force, on Thursday  complained to the Animal Welfare Board of India about the CWW’s inaction.

It may be recalled that a person who posted a video on the Facebook showing him grabbing the leg of a jaguar inside the Hyderabad zoo was booked and put behind bars by the Hyderabad police and forest officials the other day.   He was charged under section 38 (j) of the Wildlife Protection Act which prohibits teasing of an animal.

“The actor committed  a similar offence warranting his arrest  under the provisions of section 38 to 40 of the Act of 1972,”  said Mr.Venkitachalam.   

Mr.G.Harikumar,CWW,  was not available for comments.  Mr.O.P. Kaler, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, told DC that the CWW had received the petition and that action would be taken after an inquiry into the incident.

Actor Sathar arrested

Renowned actor Sathar has been arrested by the Varkala Police alleging fradulent dealings and cheating. As per reports, the case against Sathar is of forgery, and the complainants alleges that Sathar has amassed huge wealth in wrong ways. Sathar has previously run a direct marketing company named Info Vision, and this firm has misleaded many customers.

Many customers alleges that they lost money after they invest money in this company. The company was started in the year 2007, and after some initial days of functioning, he closed the company and left the place.

Summons has been sent to the actor three times, but he did not turn up for the case. And finally, Police arrested him from his house at Kodungalloor. The actor has been remanded under Police custody.

Sathar was once the most demanded actors in the industry during the 1980s. Post 2010, he made a comeback by acting in a very different role in '22 Female Kottayam'.

'She Taxi' shooting completed

'She Taxi', the movie which is being directed by Saji Surendran is one of the most expected projects of the year. The film stars Anoop Menon and Kavya Madhavan in the lead role, and it is touted to be a comedy entertainer just like Saji Surendran's previous flicks. The recent news about the movie is regarding the completion of its filming.

The shooting of the movie is wrapped up, and the makers are now busy with the post production works.
The script of the movie is penned by Krishna Pujapura. Kavya Madhavan does the role of a taxi driver in the movie.

Sheelu Abraham, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Tini Tom, K B Ganesh Kumar, Asokan, Mukundan, Noby, Shaju Sreedhar, Sunil Panicker, Ansiba, Krishnaprabha, and Ambika are doing other prominent roles in the film.

Kavya Madhavan who took a small hiatus after some controversies in her personal life aims to make it big in her career through this flick. She has huge expectations regarding this movie, and she openly expressed it in some of her recent television interviews.

Abraham Mathew and T M Rafeeque are producing this movie in the banner of Abam Movies.

Amal Neerad ties the knot with Jyothirmayi


Renowned Malayalam Film Director and Cinematographer Amal Neerad has tied the knot with actress Jyothirmayi on April 4th 2015. The marriage took place at a Registrar Office in Cochin. The event was blessed with the presence of close family members and friends of the couple.

This is the second marriage for Jyothirmayi. She was earlier married to Nishanth Kumar in 2004, and was later granted seperation on October 2011, after seven years of relationship.

Amal Neerad is widely considered as a top notch filmmaker in the industry. He debuted through the film, 'Big B', and from then, he made some stylishly crafted movies which took Mollywood to International standards. His last directorial venture was 'Iyobinte Pusthakam'. The film was a critical and commercial success, and the uncompromising making style of Amal received praises from all corners.

Earlier, Jyothirmayi has appeared in an item song in Sagar Alias Jacky directed by Amal Neerad.

'Ennum Eppozhum' trailer released


After days of anxious wait, the trailer of 'Ennum Eppozhum' directed by Sathyan Anthikkadu has been released. The movie is quite special for Kerala audience, as it marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier after a gap of 16 years.

The film is directed by Sathyan AnthikkaduSathyan Anthikkadu and Mohanlal have delivered some notable hits in the past which includes, 'Nadodikkattu', 'Varavelpu' and 'Rasathandram'Ranjan Pramod has penned the script for 'Ennum Eppozhum'.

Manju Warrier does the role of an advocate in this movie, while Mohanlal enacts the role of a media personal who works in a women magazine. Innocent, Lena, Gregory, and Reenu Mathews have also done prominent roles in the movie.

Siddique to make a movie with 'Thala' Ajith

Siddique, the hit maker in Malayalam Film Industry is a well known name in Kollywood and Bollywood. Bollywood 'Drishyam' to start rolling soon

'Drishyam' directed by Jeethu Joseph is undoubtedly one of the most successful movies in the history of Malayalam Cinema. The movie starred Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles, while Asha Sharath and Siddique did supporting roles. The film impressed eminent personalities in various film industries, and it compelled them to craft remake of this movie in their languages. 

The Tamil version of this movie is getting ready with Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film is titled 'Papanasam', and it is being directed by Jeethu Joseph himself. The Telugu version stars Venkatesh in the lead, while the Kannada movie which is already released had Crazy star Ravichandran in vital role.

Mammootty to have two heroines



Mammootty, the Malayalam Mega Star is leading a very busy schedule even though he is running through his 64th year. The ace actor is now busy with the shooting of 'Bhaskar: The Rascal' which is being directed by Siddique. In the meantime, he is also gearing up with a new Tamil film.

This new movie will be directed by National Award winning filmmaker, Ram. The movie is expected to start rolling soon, and as per latest updates, this film will have two heroines. Official sources confirm that Andreah Jeremiah and Anjali will do the role of female leads in this movie.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music of this film. Remaining cast and crew of the film will soon get finalized in the coming days.

Ram debuted in Kollywood through 'Kaatradhu Thamizh' in the year 2007. Later in 2013, he crafted 'Thanga Meengal' which fetched him the National Award. The director is currently busy with the shooting of his new movie, 'Tharamani'.

'Vellimoonga' to get a Tamil remake


Sundar C is one of those rare personalities in Tamil Film Industry who is blessed with multi talented skills. The acclaimed director has proved himself as a bankable actor, and he has proved his mettle through movies like, 'Thalai Nagaram', 'Aranmanai' and 'Murattu Kalai'. The recent news about Sundar C is regarding his new film which will be a remake of a Malayalam movie. 

As per reports, Sundar C has bought the remake rights of 'Vellimoonga' directed by Jibu Jacob. The movie was a huge hit in 2014, and it affixed Biju Menon's solo hero spot in the movie. Sundar C will enact the role of Biju Menon in the film.

Fireman to hit the screens on February 19

After days of anxious wait, Mammootty's most expected film of the year, 'Fireman' will make its way to the theaters on February 19th, 2015. The movie was earlier scheduled for last week release, but due to various reasons, it was postponed. 

Mammootty enacts the role of a daring firefighter in the movie. Young actor Unni Mukundan will also be doing a pivotal role in this film. Nyla Usha is the heroine in this movie, and she will portray the character of a dashing woman IPS Officer

'Fireman' showcases the story of a fire outbreak in the city, and the rescue operations that follow. The movie is expected to showcase the happenings in that city on that particular day of mishap. 

Milan Jaleel who has produced many successful Mammootty movies in the past is producing 'Fireman'. 

Mammootty's latest release 'Varsham' was a critical and commercial acclaim. The film succeeded in satisfying all kinds of audiences, and the same is expected from 'Fireman' as well.

'Saradhi' opened to positive reviews

'Saradhi' directed by Gopalan Manoj hit the theaters on February 13, 2015. The movie which is touted to be a stout thriller is receiving highly positive reviews from all corners. The film has reportedly satisfied all kinds of audiences, and after the four shows in the first day, 'Saradhi' is showing all signs of emerging as a silent hit in the midst of big budget films like 'Yennai Arindhaal' and 'Anegan'.

The movie showcases the story of ambulance driver Christy who engages in the ride of his lifetime. He is assigned to carry a dead body along with the relative of the deceased to a high range area.

The film is well crafted by the director, and it is capable to make you glue in the theater seats throughout the running time. All the actors have done their roles in a pretty decent manner, and special mention should be given to Sunny Wayne and Sreenivasan who put up a memorable performance.

Mammootty to act in Madhav Ramdas film

Madhav Ramdas is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers in Malayalam Film Industry, and he has proved his professional excellence through movies like 'Melvilasom' and 'Apothecary'. Mala Aravindan dies at 76

Ace comedian in Malayalam Film Industry Mala Aravindan is no more. He took his last breath at 6.30 AM on January 28, 2015. He was undergoing treatment at the Kovai Medical Center following a major heart attack on January 19. 

Mala Aravindan was once the most demanded comedy actor in Mollywood. He along with Kuthiravattom Pappu and Jagathy Sreekumar redefined the traditional concepts of comedy characterizations in Malayalam Cinema. At one point of time, a Malayalam Cinema without the presence of these actors were quite unimaginable. 

Mala Aravindan was born in 1941 as the son of Ayyappan and Ponnamma. His father was a Police Officer, while his mother was a teacher. Soon after passing the S S L C Examination, he entered the entertainment industry by working as a Tabalist for various drama troops. Soon, he shifted his concentration towards acting. 

He made his acting debut in films through 'Sindooram' directed by Aravindan. The movie had its theatrical release in 1968. Through his roles in movies like, 'Pattalam', 'Mullavalliyum Thenmavum', 'Meesamadhavan', 'Pattanapravesham', 'Thadavara' etc, he affirmed his position in the minds of Malayalee audience.

Jude Anthony Joseph is all set to tie the knot

Aspiring young filmmaker Jude Anthony Joseph who was shot to fame with his debut venture ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’ is all set to tie the knot with his lover Diyana Ann James. She is a native of Kottayam

Jude Anthony has revealed this news through his official Facebook page. As per the director, marriage will take place on February 14, 2015. He said that Diyana was a fan of ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’, and now she is his fan. 

“When oso was released, I thought that's the best thing happened in my life. But God had another precious gift waiting for me. She was an oso fan initially, later I became her fan. Today she is celebrating her birthday, n I am so happy to announce our wedding on Feb 14th 2015. Happy birthday my love”, posted the director. 

Jude Anthony was an IT professional in Infosys. The passion towards cinema compelled him to quit his fulltime job. He assisted Vineeth Sreenivasan in movies like ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ and ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ before making his debut in ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’.
