Dileep to Star in Jomon’s action film the Legend

Janapriyanayakan Dileep who has not featured in too many action films in his career is bracing up for a real Hollywood style thriller "The Legend" directed by noted commercial movie director Jomon. The film is said to be arriving with Hollywood perfection.

Jomon is known for his technically slick thrillers like Samrajya, Jackpot etc. Dileep, is reported be appearing as a Govt. Pleader in this movie. Jomon says that this would be one of the strongest roles that Dileep has portrayed in recent times. The script for the movie is penned by newcomer Baiju Raj. Arun Dev and many newcomers are taking part of the cast. Gopi Sundar composes the music, while Oscar winner Rasool Pookkutty designs sound for The Legend. Mumbai,Coimbatore,Kochi etc. will be the major locations for filming this project.

Suresh Gopi,Jayaram and Bhagyalakshmi to play in a drama written by Padmarajan

National award winner Suresh Gopi,popular actor Jayaram and ace dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi will feature in a drama written by hugely adored late filmmaker and writer P.Padmarajan. The drama Akale Akale Aashwasam penned by Padmarajan in 1968 will be telecast as part of the Radio drama fest of the All India Radio.The drama will be telecast on August 2 .Padmarajan himself gave voice to the protagonist when this drama was originally played.

This time around it will be Jayaram who will give voice to the lead role.Nedumudi Venu will enact the role of the father of the mentally imbalanced protagonist.Suresh Gopi will give voice to the doctor who treats the protagonist,while Bhagyalakshmi will appear as the wife of the doctor.Yadhu Nandan,Nandakumar etc.are also part of the cast.

Jayaram made his debut in films through the Padmarajan movie Aparan,and the duo of Suresh Gopi and Jayaram came together memorably in Padmarajan's noted film Innale.While Bhagyalakshmi gave voice to many characters in Padmarajan movies.

Mohanlal and Mukesh in Priyadarshan's 'Ammu to Ammu'.

Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are arguably the most successful actor-director combination in Malayalam cinema in the post 80 s. The magical duo are coming together once again and one among the favourites of Priyadarshan,Mukesh also will play a pivotal role in the upcoming movie titled Ammu To Ammu. The movie is expected to begin from the first week of October, and the script is by Priyadarshan himself.Priyadarshan has earlier directed the scintillating duo of Mohanlal and Mukesh in hit movies Boeing Boeing and Vandanam,Kakkakuyil etc. The trio last came together for the movie Oru Marubhoomi Katha.

Mukesh and Mohanlal recently shared screen space in Arun Vaidyanathan's Peruchazhi. Mohanlal's last association with Priyadarshan was Geethanjali which was a damp squib.

KL 10 Pathu heroine Chandini signs two Tamil projects.

Chandini the actress who made an impressive debut in Malayalam in the Muhsin Perari directed flick KL 10 Pathu is all set to act in two Tamil films.The actress has already signed these projects.M.Sadique who worked as an assistant to A.R.Murugadoss will direct Chandini in Thollai Kachi.Ashwin Kukumanu will play the male lead in this movie.

After this, the gorgeous actress will be seen in Paruthiveeran director Ameer's movie.Chandini had earlier acted in the Tamil movie Ainthu ainthu ainthu and the Telugu movie Chakkalingitha.In Tamil she is known as Mrithika and in Telugu she bears the name Rehana.

Rani Padmini First Look Revealed: The Movie Seems To Have No Male Lead

Director Ashiq Abu’s ongoing project Rani Padmini’s first look poster is out. The movie stars Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal in the lead roles. Rima and Manju will play the title roles Rani and Padmini respectively. As per the reports, Rani Padmini revolves around two women who meet during a journey and accidently gets involved in each other’s lives. It is said to be a travel movie, with the flavour of a thriller.The movie was shot at various locations of Kochi, Ottappalam, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh. Director Aashiq Abu says that Rani Padmini will be one of the rare women-centric multi-starrer movies, in the history of Malayalam cinema. Cinema Pranthan Interestingly, the movie does not have a male lead. Popular actor including Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi, Sajitha Madathil, Soubin Shaheer, Jinu Joseph, Dileesh Pothan, Theertha Vinod etc will essays the supporting roles. Rani Padmini is penned by Syam Pushkaran and Ravi Shankar. According to Syam, the movie will discuss the safety of women in our country and the issues faced by them while travelling alone. Madhu Neelakandan handles the cinematography. Bijibal composes the music. Rani Padmini, which is produced by PM Harris and VS Muhamed Althaf under the banner Fort Entertainments, will hit the theatres in October.

Nayantara Plays Cameo in Life Of Josutty

Nayantara, the star actress of South Indian Cinema, will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Dileep starrer movie Life Of Josutty. Reportedly, Nayantara is playing a Pivotal role in the movie, directed by Jeethu Joseph. The crew filmed Nayantara's portions in the movie recently in Thodupuzha. The filming was done under high security, with only a few unit members, technical crew, and only the actors were allowed in the sets. The filming was done under high security, as the team has decided not reveal the details about Nayantara's character in the film. Media was not allowed at the sets of life Of Josutty, since the beginning of the filming. Dileep has earlier teamed up with Nayantara, for Siddique directed blockbuster movie Bodyguard. The duo is sharing the screen, for the second time in their careers. Nayantara is working with director Jeethu Joseph, for the first time. The actress last appeared in Malayalam, in the recently released Mammootty starrer super hit movie Bhaskar The Rascal which was also directed by Siddique.

Fahadh and Parvathy in 'Virgin'

Fahadh Faasil and 'Bangalore Days' fame Parvathy will share screen in the upcoming movie 'Virgin'. The movie is the debut movie of Mahesh Narayan, the renowned editor. This is for the first time Fahadh and Parvathy is pairing in a movie. Earlier they were seen together in Anjali Menon's movie 'Bangalore Days'. But their combination scenes were very few in the movie. 

Mahesh Narayanan is one of the leading editor in the Malayalam movie industry. He had already joined hands with Fahadh in the VKP movie 'Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla' and 'Oliporu' directed by A V Sasidharan. Parvathy had also worked with Mahesh in the upcoming movie 'Ennu Ninte Moideen', which is getting ready for release.

'Amar Akbar Anthony' shooting wrapped up

Nadir Shah, renowned as the mimicry king of Mollywood is making his directorial debut through 'Amar Akbar Anthony', a multi starrer which features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya in the lead role. The shooting of the movie has been going on steadily in Kochin for the past two months.

As per latest updates, the makers have completed the filming of the movie, and they have wrapped up the final schedule. The main location of the filming was Fort Cochin and near by areas. The film is expected to showcase a comic story in the backdrop of colonies in Cochin.

Sujith Vasudev has cranked the camera for the movie. The music of the movie is being composed by Nadir Shah and Deepak Dev. Alvin Anthony and Dr. Zachariah Thomas under the banner of United Global Media Entertainment and Ananya Films has produced this film.

This is the second multi starrer movie which Indrajith and Prithviraj are acting together in the recent times, the first one being 'Double Barrell' which is all set to hit the screens.

'Baahubali' hits theaters today

The wait is over as India's biggest film of all times 'Baahubali' will make its way to the theaters on June 10, 2015. The release of this movie will be the nation's biggest event of all times, and as per reports, the movie will grace more than 4000 theaters all over the world.

The film is also getting a grand release in Kerala. The movie is directed by S S Rajamouli who is widely touted as the 'Shankar' in Telugu Film Industry. Rani-Padmini to Hit Theatres in This October

Veteran film maker of Malluwood Ashiq Abu has recently announced details of his upcoming movie ‘Rani-Padmini’ through his official face book page. Rani- Padmini features two talented gems of Malayalam Film Industry Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal is a women centric suspense thriller which follows the lives of two women named Rani and Padmini. Rima Kallingal makes her appearance in the role of Rani while Manju essays Padmini for the film.

The movie is also said to be a partial road movie that starts from Kochi and ends in Himachal Pradesh. Newgen star Shine Tom Chako will appear in a pivotal role in the film. ‘Daring to be different’ director Ashiq’s new film is expected to hit theatres on October.

In his recent post appeared in facebook the director has expressed not only his deep excitement about completing his work, but also thanked his wife Rima Kallingal and Manju Warrier and his whole team. He also expresses his sincere gratitude towards the natives of Jipsa and Manali for their support.

The filming of the movie was completed in just 55 days. As per the close sources, the team will start the film’s post production works after a short break.

'Love 24*7' to hit the screens on Ramzan

The career of Janapriyanayakan Dileep is now in a path of revival. After a series of flops, the actor came back strongly on track with 'Chandrettan Evideya', and now, he is gearing up with his next movie, 'Love 24*7'. The film is expected to hit the screens on Ramzan.

Dileep is essaying the role of a journalist in this movie. His character is named Roopesh Nambiar, and he is working in 'The Fourth Estate' channel. The movie is expected to portray all ins and outs and behind the screen happenings in news rooms.

Nikhili Viman is doing the role of lady lead in this movie. She will be enacting the role of a trainee Journalist who falls in love with Roopesh Nambiar. The supporting star cast includes, Suhasini, Shankar Ramakrishnan and Lena.

Sreebala K Menon is making her directorial debut through this movie. The first look teaser and trailer of the movie which got released recently were well received by the critics, and this has raised the expectations about the flick to a great extend.

Bijibal has composed the music of the film. The movie will be distributed by Dileep's own production house 'Grand Production'.

Premam Crew Spots the Person behind Piracy

Crew of the roaring hit film ‘Premam’ claims that the person who uploaded the pirated video to the internet has been identified. The recent development regarding the investigation on Piracy was revealed by Producer Anwar Rasheed himself in an interview given to a popular media. He refused to reveal the name of the culprit. Anwar Rasheed confirmed that the team will hand over the evidence to the investigation team soon. The person had given the pirated copy of the movie to four sources. The exact source of piracy is yet to be identified. The producer says that he has no intentions to make controversies but wants the responsible person to be punished legally.

Anwar also added that he would like believe that no big shots are involved in the issue. According to Anwar, he resigned from Producers Association and FEFKA, on the behalf of director Alphonse Puthren, and all technicians who worked for the movie. He says that he is not ready to withdraw the resignation. According to the findings of the investigation team, the pirated video was leaked by some of the crew members of the movie. More details regarding the piracy will be revealed soon. Nivin Pauly has recently stated that it is difficult for Premam to complete 50 days at the box office in the current scenario. Popular actors including Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan has offered support for Premam team.

AMMA Genaral Body Decides to Fund Serial Production

The annual general body meeting of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Actors) has decided to raise fund for the production of serial. This is to help the veteran actors who are not now active in the movie industry and also to get fund for association activities. This decision has been taken in the recently held general body meeting in Kochi. 

AMMA is planning to associate with FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) for serial production. For this purpose they will be organising a stage show together. This has been revealed by the AMMA President Innocent in a press meet held. The discussion with the FEFKA office bearers will be held soon.  Presently AMMA is giving pension to around 105 artists and are spending around 50 lakh yearly for pension alone. 

The new office bearers of AMMA were also present in the meeting held on 28th June 2015. The AMMA General Body is the decision making body of AMMA. They meet annually or in case of special circumstances. Mohanlal and K B Ganesh Kumar are the Vice Presidents of the body, whereas Mammootty is the General Secretary. Idavela Babu is the secretary and Dileep is the treasurer.

Kavya’s Online Shopping Store is All Set

The gorgeous actress of Mollywood, will now be seen in another role as a business women. Yes, Kavya’s new online boutique store, ‘Lakshyah’ has started working. She has joined hands with her brother Midhun Madhavan for this new venture. ‘Lakshyah’ will have a collection of salwar Kameez, sarees, bridal lehengas and more.

The online store will be based on Kochi. As per reports, ‘Lakshyah’ will be having a tie up with a major courier service for accessing delivery across the country. If all things go well, a dummy version of the store will launch by June end. Earlier Kavya had started a wholesale clothing firm called ‘Mashmika’, which she recently closed down.

Kavya who recently had a comeback to the Malayalam movie industry is getting more selective in her career too. Though her last release ‘She Taxi’ didn’t do well in the theatres, her role as a taxi driver was well noticed. Her upcoming movies are Akashavani, Entethallatha Karanathal, Ethano Valya Karyam etc.
