'Beautiful' to be remade as a bilingual

'Beautiful', the Malayalam movie directed by V K Prakash will soon get a bilingual remake. As per reports, this movie will soon be remade into Tamil and Telugu, and discussions in this regard are going on in a steady manner. 

As per reports, Nagarjuna will play the role of Jayasurya and Karthi will enact the character played by Anoop Menon in the original. Credible sources confirm that producer of the film has rented a luxurious mansion in Dubai for shooting. 

The movie will showcase the life of wealthy paralyzed person who has distinctive views in each and every things. Things take a new turn in his life when he builds friendship with a singer.

‘Drishyam’ directed by Jeethu Joseph which starred Mohanlal in the lead role is the biggest hit in the history of Malayalam Cinema. The director is now busy with the shooting of ‘Life of Josooty’ with Dileep playing the title character. In the meantime, Jeethu has also completed ‘Papanasam’, the Tamil remake of ‘Drishyam’ with Kamal Haasan in the lead. The recent news about the filmmaker is regarding a new movie in which he will again join hands with ‘Universal Star’ Mohanlal.

The news is almost confirmed, and the director is quite busy to finalize the remaining cast for the movie.

This new movie will be special in some other means as well. Pranav Mohanlal, Mohanlal’s son is currently working as an assistant director with Jeethu Joseph. The industry is keenly waiting to see whether he will do the same job in this new Mohanlal movie.

The shooting of ‘Papanasam’ is completed, and post production works are going on in a steady pace. The film is touted to be the direct remake of Drishyam. However, some changes has been made to suit the tastes of Tamil audiences.

Mala Aravindan dies at 76

Ace comedian in Malayalam Film Industry Mala Aravindan is no more. He took his last breath at 6.30 AM on January 28, 2015. He was undergoing treatment at the Kovai Medical Center following a major heart attack on January 19. 

Mala Aravindan was once the most demanded comedy actor in Mollywood. He along with Kuthiravattom Pappu and Jagathy Sreekumar redefined the traditional concepts of comedy characterizations in Malayalam Cinema. At one point of time, a Malayalam Cinema without the presence of these actors were quite unimaginable. 

Mala Aravindan was born in 1941 as the son of Ayyappan and Ponnamma. His father was a Police Officer, while his mother was a teacher. Soon after passing the S S L C Examination, he entered the entertainment industry by working as a Tabalist for various drama troops. Soon, he shifted his concentration towards acting. 

He made his acting debut in films through 'Sindooram' directed by Aravindan. The movie had its theatrical release in 1968. Through his roles in movies like, 'Pattalam', 'Mullavalliyum Thenmavum', 'Meesamadhavan', 'Pattanapravesham', 'Thadavara' etc, he affirmed his position in the minds of Malayalee audience.

After the success of 'Zachariyaayude Garbhinikal', Aneesh Anwar is busy with the works of his newfilm which is titled, 'Kumbasaram'. The film will have Jayasurya and Honey Rose in the lead roles.

'Kumbasaram' is expected to be a high octane thriller, and Jayasurya will be playing a very different role in this movie. Apart from Jayasurya and Honey Rose, Tini Tom, Priyanka and Vineeth are also doing prominent roles in the film.

This is not the first time that Jayasurya and Honey Rose is sharing screen space. They have earlier acted together in V K Prakash's 'Trivandrum Lodge'.

Kerala welcomes ‘I’

The wait is over, and finally the much awaited Shankar directorial ‘I’ has made its way to the theaters today. The initial reviews about the film are highly positive in nature, and if it goes like this, it will break all the collection records in Indian film history. The film opened at 220 theaters in Kerala, and most of the screenings began at 5.30 AM.

The major highlight of the film is the performance of Vikram. The dashing actor has done his role in a very convincing manner, and it is a real treat to watch him onscreen. The surprise package of the film is none other than Malayalam Super Star Suresh Gopi. His character is surrounded with so many surprises and mysteries, and it is not at all wise to reveal here, as it may act as a spoiler.

The songs in the movie are top notch, but background score failed to impress. The cinematography is excellent, and PC Sreeram deserves a big round of applause for capturing the beauty of China to the fullest.

The movie belongs to director Shankar. He as the Team lead did an impeccable job, and his magical signature is present in every frames. Once again, Shankar proved that he is the ‘James Cameron’ of Indian Film Industry.

Pranav Mohanlal works as assistant director in ‘Life of Josootty’

Millions of Mohanlal fans all over the state are eagerly waiting for the debut of Pranav Mohanlal on screen. But the young man has taken a different route, and he has opted a career in direction. Pranav who started his work as an assistant director in Kamal Hassen's 'Papanasham' is now busy in the sets of ‘Life of Josootty’.

The movie features Dileep in the lead role, and it is directed by Jeethu Joseph. ‘Papanasham’ is also directed by Jeethu Joseph. The director has delivered a mega hit for Mohanlal in 2013 through ‘Drishyam’.

Pranav made his entry in the film industry through his acting role in ‘Onnaman’ which got released in the year 2002. And now, after 13 years of hiatus, Pranav is back in the industry as assistant director. Let us hope he will make it big in direction.

‘Life of Josootty’ showcases the story of Jossootty, a villager. The film portrays his journey from age 8 to 38. Apart from Dileep, the film also stars, Jyothikrishna, Rachana Narayanankkutty, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Chembil Asokan, and Harish Peradi in other prominent roles.

After Dulquer’s ‘O K Kanmani’, Maniratnam joins Dhanush?

Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the post production works of ‘O K Kanmani’ which stars Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menon in the lead role. Soon after the completion of this work, he will start the shooting of his new movie which has none other than National Award winning actor Dhanush in the lead role.

As per reports, the new Dhanush movie will be a high octane action thriller, and it will be a different film when compared to other Mani Ratnam movies. However, no official confirmation has been made on this regard by either Mani Ratnam or Dhanush.

‘OK Kanmani’ is a breezy romantic tale, and it will feature Dulquer Salman in the lead role for the second time in his Tamil career, the first one being, ‘Vaayai moodi Pesavum’.

P C Sreeram, the cinematographer of the movie stated that ‘O K Kanmani’ will be a highly stylish movie, and it is inspired from real life elements just like ‘Alaipayuthey’.

A R Rahman has composed the music for this Dulquer starrer.

Suresh Gopi’s daughter enters the Malayalam Film Industry

Suresh Gopi’s daughter Bhagya Suresh has made her entry to the Malayalam Film Industry. The young girl enters the entertainment sector not as an actress, but as a singer. 

Bhagya Suresh made her debut through ‘Jo.we.lo’, a musical film directed by Shyamaprasad. The musical film is of 55 minutes length, and it comprises of six songs. As per reports, Bhagya Suresh is penning, composing and singing an English song in the film. 

Bhagya is currently pursuing her education in Bangalore. Suresh Gopi and his wife Radhika are born singers, and they have already proved their expertise in this arena. 

Bhagya Suresh told that she is quite happy to be a part of this industry. She also told that the support of her friends played a crucial role in taking her to this level. 

Jude Anthony Joseph is all set to tie the knot

Aspiring young filmmaker Jude Anthony Joseph who was shot to fame with his debut venture ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’ is all set to tie the knot with his lover Diyana Ann James. She is a native of Kottayam. 

Jude Anthony has revealed this news through his official Facebook page. As per the director, marriage will take place on February 14, 2015. He said that Diyana was a fan of ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’, and now she is his fan. 

“When oso was released, I thought that's the best thing happened in my life. But God had another precious gift waiting for me. She was an oso fan initially, later I became her fan. Today she is celebrating her birthday, n I am so happy to announce our wedding on Feb 14th 2015. Happy birthday my love”, posted the director.

Unni Mukundan to have a slim look in ‘K L 10 Pathu’

Unni Mukundan, the muscular hunk in Malayalam Film Industry is shedding his weight for his new movie, ‘K L 10 Pathu’. As per reports, Unni Mukundan will be seen in a very slim outlook in this movie.
